Exchange or Donate!
Gateway Workshops have come up with the idea of "Exchange or Donate" any therapy items you no longer need or use. How it works is that you simply exchange or donate via their newsletter. This is what Sue Bailey, owner of Gateway says:

"Due to the credit crunch it is a great opportunity to be thinking how we can all recycle more and stop spending! This project will help you do that. I am sure there are many of you with books, massage tables etc all not being used for one reason or another gathering dust. Just think of all the therapists out there who cannot afford a new massage table or the books for their Anatomy and Physiology course. You may have already completed this course and have books sitting on the shelf no longer being used so 'Exchange or Donate!'"

Gateway is starting this project off by donating some of their one day courses for free, nothing to pay! Think about any therapy item you have which you no longer need. You can donate this item or ask for something in exchange - Gateway will feature it their newsletter and who ever contacts you first can have this item. Alternatively you can exchange the item and post up details with your information what you would like in return to help you as a therapist. You may need a book, some massage oils, a tunic - just think of all the people you will be helping.

"The idea is to stop spending and start helping and recycle- it always feels great to donate and as it expands we can have many people exchanging and donating each month - all helping each other to over come the credit crunch and beyond." explains Sue.

What to do next? Just send Sue Bailey details by email of what you wish to "Exchange or Donate" and your contact details and she will feature these in the next issue in November for you: sue@gatewayworkshops.co.uk

What's different about using Purple Pages?

Purple Pages is a directory of practitioners and clinics offering both standard and personalised web pages to display the complementary health services offered. This directory allows greater personalisation of pages than is usually found in directories of this nature. This means practitioners can better communicate their services and who they are to clients. For people searching out practitioners it allows them to get to know their therapist better before making contact. This helps save your time.

Benefits for practitioners
  • Web page address
  • No hosting or domain name registration charges
  • No technical knowledge required
  • Free pop-up email link
  • Free link to your own website
  • 'Collective marketing' of your business
  • High ranking in search engines
  • Free to register!
